Ever since I was a kid growing up in Ogden Utah back in the early 80's, I've been fascinated by the Spanish bullfight. I even searched out books on bullfighting at the Weber County library, where I found and read "Death in the Afternoon" by Ernest Hemingway. I'm probably the only kid in Utah to have ever read that book. Now here we are 40 years later and I still enjoy learning about and keeping up with the bullfights.

ANTECEDENTES

Por los años 1910 a 1912 fue fundada esta ganadería en la provincia de Cuenca por don Rufo Serrano con vacas de distintos orígenes. A la muerte de don Rufo, en 1945, sus herederos la vendieron a don Mariano García de Lora, que la traspasó ese mismo año a don José María Araúz de Robles, el cual modificó el hierro y adquirió dos sementales, uno de don Samuel Flores y otro de don Juan Guardiola. En 1978 pasó a anunciarse a nombre de su hijo don Francisco Javier Araúz de Robles que varió el hierro por el que actualmente utiliza.
