Pop open a bottle of champagne, it is time to rejoice!
Sadly when DishNetwork and DirectTV came around C-band satellite dishes went away. I know, I had one and getting them repaired became a nightmare (which I had to do a lot because of the high wind in Utah would damage the arm that pushed the satellite dish back and forth to pick up the channels) and the packages with the different channel choices slowly went away too.
Then in the early 2000's I found a website where you could order DVD copies of many of the big bullfights from Spain and Mexico. I bought several DVD's but with time even that got a little difficult as the guy who ran the website, I suppose from his basement, slowly stopped updating it and it eventually went away.
At that point my interests turned more to soccer since with DishNetwork I could get the new Fox Sports World and I was in heaven watching soccer games from Argentina and Europe. I ate it up, I loved it.
But my interest in soccer slowly waned as the game, especially here in the US with Major League Soccer, started to lose its luster. With David Beckham playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy, and soccer's popularity growing it was no longer the "underground' sport. And it is even worse now with MLS becoming basically NFL soccer. It is unwatchable now. And the European leagues? Bought out by Middle-Eastern money. Unwatchable as well.
So it is back to the bulls and now more than ever! Technology has finally entered the world of the bulls with broadcasts being available all over the world via the internet and the new Mundotoro TV. (see article below)
For just about $190.00 a year someone will have access to all the major bullfights in Spain. Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, as well as much much more. I would imagine they will also make the bullfights from the south of France available too such as Nimes and Arles.
If you don't want the entire year you can just pay for one month for example, let's say if you just wanted to watch San Isidro in May or maybe just the Spring Fair from Sevilla in April.
Or you can just pay $10.00 for one day, for example if you just wanted to watch the big Easter Sunday corrida from Sevilla.
Amazing, absolutely amazing. Some good news finally, surely bullfight fans from around the world deserve some.
