Ever since I was a kid growing up in Ogden Utah back in the early 80's, I've been fascinated by the Spanish bullfight. I even searched out books on bullfighting at the Weber County library, where I found and read "Death in the Afternoon" by Ernest Hemingway. I'm probably the only kid in Utah to have ever read that book. Now here we are 40 years later and I still enjoy learning about and keeping up with the bullfights.

Dax, France

The famed Dax Feria offers six days and six nights of fun for all the family. Every summer, the French town is filled with corrida, bull running, folk music and fireworks, culminating in festivities to mark Assumption Day.

Dax comes alive to celebrate the age-old tradition of bullfighting and the culture of the Landes area, making the Feria an unmissable event for locals and visitors alike.

You can find out more about all aspects of bullfighting by visiting the animals in their pens, watching displays of acrobatics and supporting team competitions in the ring.

Dax Feria is also an opportunity to see a range of exhibitions and displays on Landes traditions, try delicious local specialties and meet warm and welcoming people.
