Ever since I was a kid growing up in Ogden Utah back in the early 80's, I've been fascinated by the Spanish bullfight. I even searched out books on bullfighting at the Weber County library, where I found and read "Death in the Afternoon" by Ernest Hemingway. I'm probably the only kid in Utah to have ever read that book. Now here we are 40 years later and I still enjoy learning about and keeping up with the bullfights.

Toroslam update

I am currently ranked 655 out of around 1300 players I think. The best I ranked was in the mid-500's after Andy Cartagena got his Puerta del Principe last month in Sevilla. (He was on my cartel.)

After that I steadily slid back into the 600's. I guess I am not that good at picking good bullfighters, I go more with a gut feeling than actually looking at the stats.

That is probably why I am horrible at gambling, I hardly ever win. Good example, I had picked Great White to win the Kentucky Derby last week and with my luck the horse had to be scratched while he was waiting to load into the gates. For some reason her reared up and fell over.

Good thing my pick was just for fun, not any real money riding it.

Anyway, the Toroslam fun will continue.

I give thanks everyday

I give thanks everyday I get to occasionally watch bullfights from the comfort of my own home here in the US.

This would have never even entered my mind when I was a kid reading "Death in the Afternoon", and now here it is a reality, at least while OneToro is still an option.

And I pray everyday OneToro never goes away.
